Arts & Crafts with Little Birds: Shaving Cream Art On The Kitchen Window

Inspired by this fun site (The Artful Parent) Greyson and I decided to have fun with shaving cream. He sat up on his art desk and painted on the window. It was a blast and it smelled good too!

(It also cleaned up really easily too - a great project for blizzard-like weather.)

Not so much fun in the snow

Turns out that Greyson is NOT a fan of playing in the snow quite yet. Over the weekend we bundled him up and headed out into the aftermath of "snow-maggedon". He was so mad the entire time!

It is like we were torturing him! Poor kid. We didn't stay out long, especially since he made it VERY clear he didn't like it out there.


But we did make him stay out long enough to take a turn with our really cool sled.


Then it was back inside for warming snuggles and games to forget the horribleness that was "playing" in the snow!

We'll try it again later and hopefully he'll like it a little better.

SNOW!

Sadly I don't have any photos of Greyson and the first snow of the year, but let me tell you, he's excited about it. Between hacking coughs (on his part and mine) he's been going to the window, looking out and saying "snow, snow, snow" over and over again. It's really cute!

I'm looking forward to us being well enough to get bundled up and enjoy some playtime in the snow!

Winter Zoo Trip - Take Two!

We headed back out to the zoo today, this time with our friends Jill and Ryan and their daughter Anna. Greyson and Anna have an on-again-off-again relationship. Today they were pretty interested in each other.


Greyson was also pretty impressed with baby llama.


Although he was not that excited about the big slide...


...he absolutely loved the little slide.
