Dinosaurs!

This weekend the Dinosaurs UnEarthed exhibit was just $5.00 per person. Normally the tickets were $13.50 which was just too much for us to spend especially since I wasn't sure if Greyson would have fun or be scared out of his pants. Luckily Greyson is pretty fearless and had a great time!

Greyson ran right over and started checking out the fossils.

"Wow! Look at that mouth!"

Grandma Amick (Ga-Ga) joined us for this outing and I'm so glad she did!

Greyson wasn't even bothered by the scary dinos!

"The dinosaur has big teeth like mine!"
"Dad, that dinosaur has BIG teeth!"

IMG_5600
"This is so cool!"

After the Dinosaurs we headed over and checked out a model train exibhit. Greyson LOVES trains too, so this was a great day out for our little man.

On a down note after this fun day out Greyson got a runny nose and now is a whiny, snotty mess. I'm guessing it is due to touching the same things that hundreds of snotty, sick, sticky kids have touched already. I need to start bleach-wiping everything before he touches it and Purelling him afterward!

A Belated Post - PUMPKINS!

So in all the excitement of Little Bird #2 I forgot to post our pumpkin photos.

We took Greyson to the pumpkin patch at Deanna Rose Farmstead a few weeks before Halloween. He had a great time with all the animals and picking out pumpkins.

Getting sniffed by the young cows. When we visited Deanna Rose this spring these cows were still tiny calves!

I claim these pumpkins in the name of toddlers everywhere!

Let's get this one.

A Little Lion Goes To The Zoo

Today we were up from some family fun so we headed to the zoo. Since Greyson will be a lion for Halloween we decided to go ahead and take him in costume.

We never made it out to to see the real lions, instead we just stayed in the Barnyard area. In the Australian exhibit all the sheep were out and Greyson had a great time with them. I love it when the sheep are roaming the paddock. They were very woolly and kind of dirty, but still very cute.

Hey there sheep...how's the hay?

We ended the trip with a ride on the carousel. Greyson loved the gorilla.

Then we headed home where our little lion promptly fell asleep.

I can't get over how big he is!

Winter Zoo Trip - Take Two!

We headed back out to the zoo today, this time with our friends Jill and Ryan and their daughter Anna. Greyson and Anna have an on-again-off-again relationship. Today they were pretty interested in each other.

Greyson was also pretty impressed with baby llama.

Greyson's First Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

And he was not impressed!

Even when he got to ride in the wagon with Anna, he was still mopey.

No smiles for the family photo.

"It's this hat! I look so silly!"

"Dad! Don't let me get too close!"

"Okay, I guess the was fun!"
