Naming Miss Amelia Mae

I'm a big believer that you can't pre-name a baby. Well, maybe some people can, but I can't. I need to meet my child first and then decide. Greyson was likely to be Finnegan or Sullivan, but once he was born neither name felt right. The same thing happened with Miss Amelia. For years both Michael and I have loved the name Eleanor and had really planned to name our baby girl that, but once she arrived she just wasn't an Eleanor. Michael suggested Amelia Mae and after letting the name "marinate" overnight we woke up, looked at our sweet girl and agreed it was the right name for her.

She's our sweet Amelia Mae, and it fits her.

Boy or Girl

To be honest I have no idea if Little Bird #2 is a boy or a girl.

At first I was so sure she was a girl because this pregnancy has been so different than Greyson's. Plus the Chinese Gender Calendar thingy says "girl".

Then recently Little Bird has begun to move around. I feel the little nudges and I can't help but draw comparisons to Greyson. So now I'm thinking he's a boy.

To be honest I just don't know. I'm trying not to get too attached to either gender.
It would be great to have a boy and a girl (Greyson and Eleanore*)
But it would be just as great to have two boys (Greyson and Logan*)

We find out on Thursday!!


*We are about 90% sure that Eleanore will be our girl's name. Logan James is so far the only boys name one of us hasn't vetoed - so it's not firm, but I do like it.

The Name Game - Part Three

I've decided that Atticus sounds too much like Sparticus and it's being shelved for the time being. It may return to the never ending list, but who knows. Currently at the tip of the list are the following - in no order what so ever.

Simon

But until February or we find out this is a girl, I'm sure we will keep tossing names about.

Clearly nothing is set in stone, but I feel we are on our way.
