Happy Due Date Greyson!

Today is Greyson's Due Date. It absolutely blows my mind. It also makes me realize that I have no concept of a normal pregnancy nor a "normal" baby.

I only made it to 29 weeks and the last week and a half were spent flat on my back. 29 weeks is nothing in terms of a pregnant body- I was never really uncomfortable, I didn't get any stretch marks, because my belly never had a chance to get that big. Greyson was only 3lbs 4oz and I only gained 22lbs. Next time around will be strange. I'm hoping to stay pregnant until at least 36 weeks when we do this again in a few years. I bet there will be a lot of whining those last few weeks.

Greyson is also not your normal baby. Figuring out where he is supposed to be in terms of milestones is tricky. Medically for the first year all milestones will be based off of today - but he is doing so much more than that. He doesn't act like a "newborn", but he doesn't act 10 weeks old either. So I'm just going to try to roll with it and help him along the best we can. And love him to pieces.

That's the one thing I do know for sure on this important date. I love Greyson.

Happy Forecasted Birthday Greyson!!

When you're old enough, you're going to have to ask your parents for presents on your real birthday, AND your un-real one!
Glad you're in the world no matter what day you arrived.
