We did it!

We moved!
We are offically in our new home and it is ours!  (Well ours and the banks...mainly the banks...)

We've been here for just over two weeks and it is finally feels like home.  There is still much unpacking to do, the the essentials have been taken care of.  Honestly, sometimes I can't believe this is our new home.  But it is and it is WONDERFUL!

It is not so much about the house itself (although I do love it), but this house is a simply wonderful location.  Yes, it is in the country (kind of), and Yes, it takes a surprisingly long time to get anywhere from here (it takes about 15 min to get ANYWHERE from here - including the grocery store.  I know this isn't a big deal, but we used to live RIGHT in the middle of things, where a trip to the store and back could take 15 min).

But is worth the drive to be here.  The neighborhood is so welcoming and full of kids!  We've already met 3 girls Amelia's age (or within 6 months of her) and 2 little boys for Greyson to play with.  Our neighbors on either side of us are lovely and I've really enjoy talking with them.  It's a real neighborhood - with flocks of kids riding bikes and playing,  parents pushing strollers on long walks, people watching out for each other and being helpful.  Can you tell I love it here?

The kids and I have spent at least part of each day just playing in the driveway and talking to everyone who goes by.  It is such a change from our old house.

So we did it!  We moved and all the hassle (and there was tons of hassle), worry (ditto), and frustration was worth it.  Very worth it!
