Today my in-laws took Greyson to the zoo. I'm home alone with just my baby. I should be productive. I intended to be. I planned to write thank-you notes, to print baby announcements, to pay bills, etc. Instead I had a 2 hour visit with my doula. It was great talking about Amelia and her birth. After she left I thought I'd get to work - instead I've just been sitting here reading, listening to music and holding my sweet baby girl.
I love just looking at her. I adore kissing her cheeks, her chin, her forehead. I love smelling her hair and looking at her beautiful eyes. I love seeing how much she has grown and changed in just 3 weeks.
So today, instead of being productive, I held my baby and really, I can't think of a better use of my time.

I think your day sounded pretty productive. You will never have THIS day to hold your sweet girl again. Enjoy it.
You will never have June 18, 2011 to just hold and enjoy your baby girl again. I say take advantage of every day like this that you can. Things can wait...kids growing up don't.
