This is what happens when you turn your back on a certain little boy

He made a sandbox out of rice cereal. Well over a year old rice cereal.

He recently discovered that he is now strong enough to open the cabinet where we keep his sippy cups, bowls, etc. Also in that cabinet was a large box of opened but barely used rice cereal*. He decided to make a sandbox with it. Honestly since it was already a mess I just let him play in it until he was tired of it. Then we cleaned up. This prompted a clean-out of the cabinet and now when he gets into it again (and we know he will) he can't make much of a mess.


*Rice cereal just constipated him and after doing some research it seemed like a waste to us. There are lots of other options for early foods for babies. But apparently I never bothered to throw it away.
