Earlier this week I needed a blanket to just put in his bed as a "leak guard" since I was washing his mattress pad and I decided to use the duck blankets. Greyson walks in, took one look at the blankets and said "Baby Greyson's" pointing at the blanket. Then he grabbed a blanket we use often and said "Greyson's".
Do you think he some how associated this blanket with being a baby? Could be possibly remember that?! The blankets are in a few photos of him in the NICU, but none since then. It's just weird to me!
I actually had to go look for photos that show the blankets and while there are glimpes of them in many photos, only a small handfull where you can see them clearly.

The majority of the photos either show him with blankets we brought from home and still use or he is in the "frog" which is covered in hearts, not ducks.
Maybe he does remember his first 52 days after-all.
UPDATE: I've been talking to some other preemie moms about this and we think at this point they do remember being in the NICU. In another 2 years do I think he'll still remember, maybe not. But right now I think he does. I am happy that he doesn't seem to connect it with anything bad. It is just how "Baby Greyson" started off.

Somewhere inside him, he may remember his NICU stay...but he also remembers his loving mom being at his side every step of the way!
