We looked at buying him a pair, but they were more expensive then my shoes! So I've been searching ebay for a pair. He isn't walking just yet so I'm not in a real rush to get him in shoes, but we will need to soon. I'm sad he can't wear the little leather kind, but those sweet tootsies are just too wide. Oh well.
Look how wide that foot is! He has crazy monstrous feet, adorable, but monstrous feet.
UPDATE: Just bought a new, in box pair of 4.5 xw Stride Rite shoes for Greyson on ebay. Total cost, including shipping? $16.50! Haha! I just can't pay $50.00 for shoes he will grow out of in a month or two. I just can't do it!

Let me see if we have any of Alex's still around here or if I've already passed them on. Ella had Stride Rites for her first couple of pairs of shoes as well... was also an EXTRA wide and still has wide feet at 4 years old. The good news, it made her a really stable walker. EBAY is a good idea. Also, check second hand kids clothing stores. My kids NEVER wore out a pair of Stride Rite shoes before they outgrew them.
They are pricey, but worth it since they usually only need them for the first pair or two... then their feet start to thin out as they use them more.
