Happy Half-Birthday! Today you are 6 months old. It was a big day. You started off by rolling and squirming off your soft, comfy blanket and on to the carpet where you decided to settle in for a nap. When you woke up you were so covered in Tallulah fur that we both had a good laugh. You have a fantastic giggle. It's all opened mouthed and barely audible, but your whole face lights up and it melts my heart every time.
We went out for lunch with my friend Stephanie and your friend Zachary. You were not on your best behavior and I had planned to write about that, but when we got home you snuggled into my arms and fell asleep holding my hand and the 45 min of you fussing while I tried to eat lunch standing up so I could rock you just faded away.
You are the sweetest little boy. I love everything about you. I love your crazy hair, your big blue eyes, your funny little birthmark. I love the way you smile, the way you hold my arm when you are falling asleep, the way you look at me to make sure that things are okay. You started doing that this month. It's like something clicked and you realized that I am your mom and that means something. When someone else picks you up you look for me. It is amazing.
This week also marks the 1 year point for when we found out about you. It has been a crazy year but one I wouldn't trade for anything in the world.
Happy half-birthday little man. I love you more than you will ever know.

We are so happy we got to spend this special day with you! Greyson is a joy and so darn cute, too. I'm glad that through this crazy, insane experience we have come out with something wonderful, our sons and our friendship! Congrats Greyson on turning into a wonderful little man.
