My kids are seeming heartbreakingly grown up to me. I'm sure this will be a theme for the rest of my life. But it does go by too fast.
Gone are the rolly-polly babies. They are both becoming so independent. It seems like Amelia is growing up twice as fast as Greyson did, which breaks my heart all the more. She's not even two yet and she speaks in sentences. She knows what she wants and tells me. It is great in so many ways and in another way it is a stark reminder of how fast she is growing up.
These wonderful children of mine - they hold my heart - no matter how fast they grow.

365/12: Sibling Sleep
It's been too long since we've had both kids snuggled in bed with us. When I woke up this morning snug between my two favorite heaters I just had to take their picture. I year ago we were all sleeping in one bed every night. There were nights that all I wanted was space to sleep on my own - now all too often miss the sweet bliss of a night of baby sweat and toes digging I to my sides. It goes by too fast so I'm trying to saver the moments we have.

365/11: My Downton Daughter
Amelia turns on Downton Abbey almost every day. She so serious about the goings on with the Crawley family. Who could blame her.

365/9: tea
Greyson really loves tea. I made him lemon tea once when he was sick and ever since them he's really liked it. Tonight I made him a cup and asked for a clean plate for the cup to sit on. He wanted a cup and saucer!
We had to improvise since we are a mug house :)

365/8: a good hat
Amelia loves to make things into hats. Books, towels, socks - they have all been deemed hat-worthy.
Her new favorite?
Greyson's Lego Batman underpants!
And yes, she put them on her head all by herself. Then she proceeded to shout "Hat! Hat!"
Greyson informed her they were in fact underpants and NOT a hat but she wouldn't listen.

365/7: pomanders
When I was cleaning out the cabinets this weekend I found the cloves I had bought months ago to make pomanders for Christmas. When Greyson asked for a project today I pulled them out!
We had a great time sipping tea and making the pomanders.

365/6: little chefs
Both kids love the little kitchen we have set up in the basement. I just love them playing nicely together.
The shelf where we keep all the play food was my bookshelf growing up - I just can't imagine not having it around. I'm so happy it is getting used.
