Goings on with Greyson
My little boy is such a little BOY these days. Here is what he has been up too lately.

Just a few weeks ago I was lamenting that it seems he never imagined things. But this is not the case any longer. He has deemed the space underneath the swing set as "School" and he will play there happily by himself. He has also started self-narrating as he plays. I can only catch bits and pieces of what he says, but what I do catch always makes me smile.
CARS!

It's no surprise, but cars are still Greyson's main love. Yesterday he asked me to make him a new racetrack. So we made this one on an old grocery bag. I was asked to paint a "G for Greyson", then we went on to add some "A's" and "P's" for good measure.
DRAMA!

Oh goodness, last week we thought we broke Greyson's arm. I'm so glad that wasn't the case. Greyson was standing on a chair in the kitchen. Michael and I each had one of his hands and were trying to help him down, when he went limp and twisted away in a very toddler manner. I dropped his hand, but Michael kept a hold until Greyson was on the ground. Micheal commented that he heard a pop in Greyson's arm/wrist and how that always freaks him out. Then a beat later Greyson started sobbing that his arm hurt. We set down with him and he can pointed out right where it hurt (mid forearm) and started crying whenever he tried to move it. I tried to have him rotate his arm palms up and he couldn't. We called the pediatrician and the nurse told us just to give him some pain meds and keep ice on the arm and that if it was still hurting him in the morning to come into the office at that point. Luckily he was fine in the morning! He acted as if nothing was the matter at all. I'm so glad! But, wow was that a dramatic night!
RIDES!

We made several trips to the mall over the past few weeks in preparation for photo day, and at the mall he discovered the ride-ons. We have spent a LOT of time on these. The firetruck is a favorite, as is the race car and submarine. I'm just glad that he still hasn't figured out that they take quarters and can move! Did you know it costs $1.00 per ride now?! Outrageous!

I love the racetrack. I need to make one for Zach. He has now named his toy cars Toyota, Honda & Mazda. Haha.
