"How would such a thing come to be?" you may ask. Well, it all starts with having a toddler!
Last week I decided to "treat" myself and take a shower...during the day. You know, so I'd feel human. Greyson was watching Mighty Machines (Thank you Canada for this show! Also, your snow removal system seems really effective, as does the mass transit system. Good job!) so I brought Amelia into the bathroom, set her in the boppy and I started my shower.
Mid hair-wash I hear "Mom, open these!" I pull back the curtain to see Greyson holding said bag of chocolate chips. Sigh. I told him "No, we don't eat chocolate chips at 9am" and I took them from him. Having really no where else to place them that his grabby hands couldn't reach, the chocolate chips made their home in the shower to be forgotten about until the next morning when Michael took a shower. Oops.
The real problem is that Greyson can open the freezer. I've had to take away chocolate chips, popsicles, a bottle of vodka (from our wedding - nearly 5 years ago), once I even caught him in the middle of the floor with the "family sized" bucket of ice cream!
I think we need a lock.

I don't know exactly what I laughed at more - the good job Canada (cause I agree, and don't forget about their awesome year long maternity leave) or the mom, open this!
they do make refrigerator locks... check on "One Step Ahead" I think that's where I saw them. Alex had a problem with this as well... and the worst was that he would leave the freezer open and walk away and a hour later when I came back to the kitchen... things would be thawed! Love the ingenuity!
