In the spring of 2008 Michael took me to New York City. I'd been there before, but never with him. It was a trip we both needed. Just a few weeks before we suffered a miscarriage and getting out of town and taking a trip together was very healing for us both.
It still amazes me that we survived 2008. It was a hard, but good year. 2008 brought us Greyson, but 2009 brought him home!

I love this picture. Because I remember this time for you and how sad you were. Even though you both look emotionally spent... I love how you are leaning on one another. Great shot!
I think that is why I love this photo too. We don't look happy - because we weren't, but we are leaning on one another and that is what saw us through.
