Paper Bum and Great Big Feet.

We're putting Greyson in disposable diapers today so we don't risk leaving an unwashed cloth diaper in the house while we are on our trip. I'm not a fan of the disposable. He makes a totally different sound when walking around and his pants are MUCH looser. It appears he was only fitting in the 18 month pants thanks to all the extra padding the cloth diaper provides. Ooops.

Earlier this week I broke down and took him back to Stride Rite to get measured for shoes. He is now a 5.5 XW. Yep, he's still in the Extra Wides and to be honest, it's a little snug! But they don't make shoes wider than that! He's got Fred Flinstone feet!

Well I broke down and spent the big bucks to get Greyson a nice pair of shoes that fit him. I like them, they'll go with everything and will hopefully last awhile.

Every time I look at them I think "There is NO WAY these giant shoes will fit Greyson. These are shoes for a 3 year old - not my 17 month old!". But alas, they fit his humongous feet.

Ha, ha. That is so funny! Well, at least if he gets very tall, he will have a good sturdy base.

We have Liam in disposables this week because I am having to weigh him before and after each feeding and the cloth just does not allow for an accurate weight.. and I hate it! They seem so uncomfortable and he is already getting a red bum on day 2!

Ah, well.. at least it makes me appreciate my cloth that much more.

I have to laugh about the shoe size. While we were away we found a Stride Rite (there are none near me) and had Elliot's feet properly measured...6XW! We knew he had wide feet and we also call them his Flintstone feet, but EXTRA wide. I was floored, no wonder shoes are so hard to find for him!!

I know! It's that EXTRA that kills me too. Wide I get, but Extra Wide - come on!
