This has been a busy week. So busy that I can't even remember everything that we have done. But here are some highlights:
Thursday we went to the zoo for a little while with my friend Jill and her daughter Anna. It was crazy hot so the zoo was pretty much deserted, but we walked around the Discovery Barn and the Tropics. Shade and air conditioning while looking at animals = the best of both worlds! We really like the merkats and they liked us too!
Friday was date night. Greyson stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Perry while Michael and I went to the movies and then to dinner. It was wonderful! Real dates were always few and far between with us, even when we were dating we often opted for movies on the couch and dinner with the family. Now I think it is really important to make time for just the two of us. Plus it was really nice to get all dressed up.
Saturday we got together with friends at Jill's home. Anna and Greyson attempted to play together and Jarrett (my very good friend from college who we hadn't seen in months) watched us all be parents while being thankful that he wasn't one yet! I sometimes forget that other people aren't covered in drool and spit-up all the time. It was a great evening.
Today we are trying to recover from the week which means laundry and putting the house back together. I'm always amazed how fast it goes for clean to disaster...
