I love my boys! I love my Greyson, without whom I wouldn't be a mom. I love my Michael, without whom I wouldn't have my Greyson!
My boys took me out for a wonderful Mother's Day! First we headed to Brookside where we looked at baby toys and then spooky skeletons and animals in Brookside Toy and Science. Greyson will LOVE that store when he is older! I received my first gift while there (well second - the first being Greyson of course!) - a pair of bright green leather garden gloves from The Dime Store, that actually fit! I have 2 other pairs of gardening gloves and neither fits well.
Then we headed to the River Market where we took in the sights and sounds. I love the market, it makes me feel like I'm in a different city. I bought 6 tomato plants. This may be too many, but I was excited about the variety available. I came home with: 1 Green Zebra, 1 Roma, 1 Jelly Bean, 1 Sprite and 2 Yellow Pear. I also pick up a Moon and Stars watermelon!
One our way back to the car we stopped by what used to be The Cup and Saucer. It is now another coffee house and looks really similar to the old C&S. It was weird to be there. That was the place where Michael and I met. It actually made me tear up to be standing in the place where my life began heading down the path it is on today. Without that night in that place I may never have met Michael and I wouldn't be celebrating my first Mother's Day as Greyson's mom!
After the market we headed to You Say Tomato for lunch. I had the Biscuits and Gravy (the best in town in my opinion) and the house salad which has a wonderful balsamic dressing. I can't wait to go back there and try all of the wonderful options.
I also went out and picked up some additional plants at the local nursery and Michael was wonderful enough to plant them for me. So now not only does the backyard look great, but we finally have something in our front pots. I think this year they finally look good. I always have trouble with those pots.
It was a wonderful Mother's Day. I am so blessed.
