Greyson really likes holding onto it.
Today was the first day I really noticed how it calms him down.
Did you notice that his face is free of tubes and tape? His NG tube came out last night. Actually he pulled it out (second time in 12 hours) so they decided to let him go without one and try to take all of his feeds orally. So far so good! Although it is wearing him out a little and he had more spells/destats than usual today. But this evening when we were up with him he had a completely destat free nursing. And then he went right to sleep for 2 hours so I'm hoping he has turned a corner with the destats and will stop having them. They won't send him home until they are under control. But home is in sight. Greyson's circumcision is scheduled for tomorrow and they don't schedule them until the week or so before you go home. I'm nervous about it, but resigned to the fact that he's getting the circ. It was a hard decision, but in the end I want him to be comfortable with his equipment and since most guys have it done so will he...I guess.
We also set up his pack-n-play with the bassinet in the office so he has the perfect place to hang out in the room we hang out in the most. It looks great, but the rest of the office is a bit of a mess right now. I'm trying to reorganize my drawers which means I have to take everything out and then decide what to keep and what to toss. It is a long process and one that Michael just shakes his head at.

I'm so glad he is doing so well Morgan, and that you are bringing him home soon! That is great. I would love to meet him (sans Auggie at first) after you all have been settled for a few weeks. Yay for you all!
He looks so peaceful sleeping against you, Morgan. You guys are in our daily prayers and I know he will be home soon. And he will love his adorable owl mobile! Sooo cute!
